A perfect day in Dubai with a private chauffeur

Dubai rewards the traveller who keeps moving. Its best sights are spread along almost 30 kilometres of coast, from the old trading quarters on the creek to the islands and towers of the new city. 8:30 — Morning in Old Dubai

Walk the lanes before the heat builds, then cross the creek the traditional way — on a wooden abra — to the spice and gold souks of Deira. 11:30 — The Dubai Frame and the Museum of the Future

A short drive brings you to the Dubai Frame in Zabeel Park, which literally frames the old city on one side and the new skyline on the other. From there, continue down Sheikh Zayed Road to the Museum of the Future, one of the most photographed buildings in the city. 13:30 — Lunch in Downtown

Head to Downtown Dubai for lunch with a view of the Burj Khalifa. This is the moment a car with driver really earns its keep: no parking garages, no hunting for the right mall entrance. Your chauffeur drops you at the door and collects you when you message.

15:30 — Palm Jumeirah and the coast

As the afternoon softens, drive out along the Palm Jumeirah to the crescent and Atlantis, then back along Jumeirah’s beaches for the classic view of the Burj Al Arab. It is an easy stretch to see from the comfort of the back seat, with stops wherever you want a photograph.

18:00 — Sunset at Dubai Marina

End the day at Dubai Marina and JBR, where the towers light up over the water. Stroll the promenade, take an evening boat ride or sit down for dinner. If you would rather finish in Downtown, your driver can bring you back for the Dubai Fountain shows in the evening.
